Everything you didn't know about Board XXX

The Daily Board of AEGEE-Enschede can be compared with what the central station of Utrecht means for the NS. Without this important centre everything would be disrupted (and it still sometimes does). Everything would take much more time and nobody has a complete overview. Luckily AEGEE-Enschede does much better than the NS; all things run smooth and this is because of the leading qualities of Board XXX. Wietske Jousma, president, is giving us a look behind the scenes and tells us the facts we didn't know about Board XXX. 

You don't choose for Board XXX on purpose, but because of the triple X our lives got much more interesting. Many people associate the XXX with some dirty stuff and that's why we're also called the 'pornboard'. Actually, the dirty stuff is not as dirty as you might think. We do change clothes at the office when we have to wear our suits, but that's not an exclusive habit of our board. We do like to look for some tension. The drinksmachine at the office has the option to order 'special drinks', which means it's a surprise beverage; you can win or loose. Before I order a special drink, I always pray for anything but Sprite/7Up. Luckily Victor is always willing to drink these kind of beverages. We also 'had' to drink 'Grolsch herfstbok' at 10AM. I'll leave it up to you whether this was winning or loosing.

Did you already notice we all are long persons? Andrea is the shortest in our Board. Also, the girls are wiser than the boys. This could be because of the brain damage Liza and me cause to the people at the office. We have a special laugh, but not everyone appreciates this talent. We still like each other. Apart from the full-time shifts at the office we often eat breakfast at the IKEA or dine at the Happy Italy.

I hope our members will remember our board by the excellent outfits we create for themed nights. The whole board isn't voluntarily shopping for outfits, so we have to force someone every time. Thanks to our aversion for outfitshopping Andrea for example bought little baskets which we had to wear like a hat. This was one of the best outfits we had during our year. Liza and I one time shopped for bubbleblowers and purple cardboard hats. During the party Kevin and Victor walked around with pride, but Liza and I did 'forgot' to wear the outfit.

 

While looking back at our board year I noticed how hard it is to remember everything. Luckily we have our quotecorner. In the quotes the 'XXX' is quite hard to miss (in dutch they are more funny ;)):
